SUGARPLUM QUILTS are individually cut, machine pieced and
either machine quilted or hand-tied, a process that can take up to
twelve hours. Hand-tied quilts are machine stitched along the
outside borders for extra strength. Every quilt is made from
specially chosen pre-washed, whimsical 100% cotton fabrics.
Polyester batting is used for extra warmth and durability.
Hand-tied quilts are backed with a soft coordinating flannel.
Machine-quilted quilts are backed with a coordinating cotton fabric
and edges are bound with a double fold binding. All this allows for
a long-lasting, durable quilt which can be machine washed and
dried on a gentle cycle for many years to come.
RAGTIME QUILTS (more are on the way) are made with 100%
cotton flannels. Each block is layered with flannel on the back,
batting inside and flannel on top ending with machine stitching
across each block. The blocks are then sewn together with the
seams on the outside. The seams are cut and the quilt is machine
washed one time to begin the ragging process. The more they are
washed the softer they become. They are truly warm and cuddly
quilts...perfect for cold winter days and nights.
Sugarplum quilts were designed with babies/toddlers in mind. If you would like a quilt made in a larger size, please contact me at:

I will be happy to make a quilt up to a lap size for you.
Should you see a pattern on the web site you like, but would prefer a different theme or color, please let me know. Together we can make the perfect quilt.
For a larger quilt there will be an additional charge depending on the pattern, size and fabrics used in the quilt.
